The Role of the Derralla family in declaring the Independence

Abstract

The object of study in this science paper is the political and military activity of the Derralla family – Mehmet Pashe Derralla. In this paper, the column of his movements is the interest of the European and Balkan diplomacy about a distinguished figure, who gives obvious contribution in the last phase of the National Albanian Movement by also being the author that established the base of organizing and creating the army with a full image in the many years to come, and that is how a 69 year old man became the start of the Albanian army.
