Përpjekja e parë për të hartuar një atlas gjuhësor të shqipes (1940-1944)

Abstract

Më 2007, në kuadrin e marrëveshjeve kulturore ndërmjet Akademisë së Shkencave të Shqipërisë dhe Universitetit të Napolit (L’Orientale) u botua në dy vëllime Atlasi Dialektologjik i Gjuhës Shqipe. Kjo vepër monumentale, themelore për dialektologjinë shqiptare dhe ballkanike, u hartua nga studiuesit e Institutit të Gjuhësisë dhe të Letërsisë në Tiranë (në veçanti: J. Gjinari, B. Beci, Gj. Shkurtaj, Xh. Gosturani) përgjatë njëzet viteve, ndërmjet viteve 1970-1990. Puna përgatitore për mbledhjen e materialit gjuhësor nisi rreth viteve ‘50 të shekullit të kaluar me hartimin e pyetësorit të parë dialektor nga E. Çabej e M. Domi dhe të versionit të dytë nga S. Floqi pak vite më vonë.
