Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study is to present an analytical method for the determination of preservatives in food and pharmaceuticals samples using HPLC/DAD technique. It was built an analytical method when sodium benzoate, sorbic acid, ascorbic acid and methyl-paraben were determined simultaneously. These preservatives are widespread use in processed food products and many pharmaceutical drugs mostly in liquid form and as cream (1; 2; 3; 4).
