The Methodology of Gathering Materials about the Traditional Life of Albanian Ethnography during the Dictatorship Years

On this paper we’ll treat the methodology used to gather and archive data regarding the traditional life on urban areas as well as city craftsmanship. The main purpose of this article is to analyze the methodology in order to understand how to use those materials nowadays. In order to fulfill our main goal, initially we’ll shortly represent some of the features of this methodology used by ethnographs. This is mainly because that these features are used by them and their collaborators and later on by the department of ethnography, which gathered data about traditional life on Albanian urban areas. Based on some of the archived materials, we’ll try to summarize how they did it and what they did. From this perspective, a special attention will be payed to the guidelines of questioner of the craftsmanship. Finally we’ll analyze the means of registering this data on the archives.
